Through hystorical references and material it was possible to acquire to most distintive aspects of the existing building. Therefore, we developed a design that not only implements new functions, but also it enhance the existing typology and its original meaning. The space is strongly defined by a new vertical opening, a former courtyard, which is re-opened following the lines of the ancient bearing walls.
